The story of M&L Pools began in 1963, when Donald Zachman became a partner in an Ohio pool company. He gained experience with early gunite and fiberglass-wall construction before transitioning into fully concrete pools. After nearly two decades in the industry, Donald founded M&L Pools in 1978, establishing the company on a foundation of skilled craftsmanship, integrity, and uncompromising attention to detail.
Mark Zachman, grew up working alongside his father and quickly developed a deep passion for pool construction. Over 20 years, he refined his craft, developed an exceptional eye for detail, and learned every aspect of the business firsthand. When Mark eventually assumed leadership, he honored the standards established by his father while continuing to advance the company through evolving designs, materials, and technology.

Ryan Zachman was raised around the craft of pool construction, gaining firsthand knowledge of the care, precision, and dedication required to create exceptional outdoor spaces. As a third-generation builder, he carries forward a proud family legacy rooted in quality workmanship and lasting relationships.
Under the guidance of his father, Mark Zachman, Ryan developed a discerning eye for detail, an uncompromising standard for quality, and a strong work ethic that continues to guide every project. Today, he leads M&L Pools with the same values on which the company was built—honesty, craftsmanship, and a commitment to bringing every client’s vision to life
